Megatronz, check out Meghan Trainor's 'Lips Are Movin' video here, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the vid below!
The attention span of the #Megatrons, as Trainor has christened her fans, presumably falls somewhere between the six-second length of a Vine and the 15-second limit on an Instagram video.
But when L.A. Reid, CEO of Epic Records, heard “That Bass,” he fell in love with Meghan’s empowering, in-your-face lyrics—as did all her fans (hey, Megatronz!), who have clicked on her YouTube video roughly 500 million times.
It was “Title” – which Trainor later deemed “the best song of the night” – that had the singer seemingly marvelling at her “Megatronz,” who sang the whole way through.
Etymology
Blend of Meghan + -tron (influenced in form by Megatron, a fictional character among the Transformers, whose name was influenced by megatron, mega-, M, and -tron).
