    Chu [translating 朱] was a vocal critic of Mao's ideas about guerrilla warfare during the early part of their stay in the Chingkang [translating 井岡 /井冈] mountains in 1927–1928, and it was not until the first Mao-p’ing conference of May–June 1927 that the two leaders resolved their differences.
